Some journeys change the places we visit. Others quietly transform the way we see ourselves.

Vimukt Shiksha Yatra 4.0 was a seven-day learning journey across Gujarat and Maharashtra that brought together people from diverse walks of life to question, unlearn, and reimagine education. Rather than visiting institutions as observers, the yatris immersed themselves in living communities, alternative learning spaces, grassroots initiatives, and homes where different ways of learning and living are being practiced every day.
From ecological campuses and community movements to theatre collectives, youth-led initiatives, unschooling families, and spaces of collective governance, every stop became an invitation to rethink what education can be when it is rooted in curiosity, relationships, creativity, and trust.
This journey was not about collecting answers. It was about cultivating better questions, listening deeply, and discovering that learning flourishes when it is connected to life, community, and the natural world.
